Wed, Mar 19

|

Lake Forest Park City Hall

Please attend the March 19 Land Use Hearing before Judge John Galt about the Garey property on the northern border of LFP at 205th & 37th/Cedar Way. The owner, Mr. Garey, is proposing to build a home on land that is FULLY within the sensitive area buffer of Lyon Creek.

Time & Location

Mar 19, 2025, 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM

Lake Forest Park City Hall, 17425 Ballinger Way NE, Lake Forest Park, WA 98155, USA

About the event

The Stewardship Foundation and many others have submitted comments opposing this project. It is not “reasonable use” to build as proposed, there simply is not room to do so without risking severe impacts to the stream and nearby unstable slopes. City of LFP has sensitive areas protections in place for good reason. We argue that the owner knows it is “unbuildable” and has already been receiving benefit (use) since he has paid reduced property taxes for years on this parcel because of environmental restrictions.

LFPSF Board member Doug Hennick will be in attendance to give testimony, and our comment letter(s) are on file.

PLEASE if you are able to attend, sign-in opposed even if you don’t want to speak.
