CORE (Citizens Organized to Rethink the Expansion of Bothell Way) would like to invite you to a community meeting!  Join your fellow ‘alignment’ neighbors who must surrender some or all your property to Sound Transit.

We want to update all interested impacted neighbors on the status of Sound Transit’s Plan to build a dedicated bus lane through Bothell Way in Lake Forest Park. We (CORE) have been busy with efforts behind the scenes, working with our City Council and the Stewardship Foundation to convince Sound Transit there is a better way than their current plan.

More importantly, if you are one of the more than 105 property owners in Lake Forest Park that Sound Transit must acquire some or all your property, we can review one of several new documents we have recently received that outlines Sound Transit’s acquisition process for properties along the alignment here in Lake Forest Park, documents obtained via a Freedom of Information request.

We will review in detail a document that will be essential and valuable to you. It is a flow chart of Sound Transit's steps to acquire property (land or permanent/temporary easements). Sound Transit is ramping up its efforts to initiate this process, and we understand several of you have recently received a request to begin that process.

So please stop by the Sheridan Market on Dec 3rd at 2PM. It will be a great time to meet your fellow neighbors, share insights, and learn more about what to expect as Sound Transit works through the Property Acquisition Process.  We will also provide an up-to-date review of where the project stands.
